EGG HUNT 2024
Join us this year for our annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at Riverfront Park on Saturday, March 30th, at 4pm. There will be loads of games, music, bounce houses, FREE food, an Easter Bunny, and OVER 15,000 EGGS TO BE HUNTED!

Where does the event take place?The event is happening at the Riverfront Park and Amphitheater located at 1 Henry St. Alton, IL 62002.

What time does the event start and end?The event starts at 4:00pm and ends at approximately 5:30pm. We encourage anyone who plans on attending to get there a little early to register if they have not already registered online.

How much is the event?COMPLETELY FREE!!!!!!!!!!!! You only need to bring a little extra cash if you would like something from one of the local food trucks; however, a free food option is made available to everyone who is registered for the event.

How do I register?All participants are required to register so that they can participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. You can register online beginning March 1st to skip the line the day of, or you can register upon arrival.

Where do I park for the event?You'll want to park on the west and north sides of the park. That would be the parking lot next to the river and the parking lot next to the casino. The parking to the south of the park is for volunteers only.

Who can participate in the egg hunt?Our egg hunt is made available for anyone newborn through the fifth grade. We've made accommodations for each area to work best for these ages so please ask your child(s) to be considerate if those hunting eggs around them!

Will there be any accommodations for my child with special needs to hunt eggs?Yes! We will have a section specifically for your child with special needs that is wheel chair accessible to hunt eggs. If you there any other accommodations needed please feel free to contact us.

What happens if it rains that day?Rain or shine - WE WILL HUNT EGGS! Bring an umbrella and rainy day clothes.

How is Paper Planes ensuring the safety of everyone in attendance?Alton Police Department has agreed to be present during the event. Additionally, we have a nurse at registration available if needed.

What kind of prizes can the kids win?Each section of our egg hunt has an equal amount of prize eggs. There will be a paper inside the egg that indicates what type of prize you have received. To retrieve your prize, meet at the stage area.

Can we take photos during the event?The event takes place at a public park. We certainly cannot tell you that you can't take photos. BUT we highly encourage that you only take photos of your children. As a ministry that is focused on working with and protecting children we take photos and videos very seriously so use your best discretion.

Remember: This event is COMPLETELY FREE! There are free food options available, but there will be food trucks selling their delicious products as well! With that said, follow the steps below to skip some of those lines to get registered!

*****Pre-registration is now closed; however, you can still register at the event when you arrive. We look forward to our annual COMMUNITY EGG HUNT!*****
Click this link HERE or scan the QR code on the right to register online and skip the lines! We'll just need to know a few details to make sure your kiddos are set-up to be in the right egg hunt group. We may also ask if you're interested in hearing more about some of the local churches in the area, but don't worry, this isn't required and if requested, no one will reach out to you following the event. All of your kids names and ages will be protected by the Paper Planes Ministries Staff.

Go to our Facebook event page and let us know that you are coming! There is a lot we are preparing for the community and the more accurate head count we have, the better! Plus, its always good to share a good time with good friends so please share the event on your personal page as well!

BE PREPARED TO HAVE A SAFE AND FUN TIME!
There will be a lot to do: some active and some more relaxing. So, dress accordingly! There will be plenty of police presence so that everyone can feel safe.
Schedule
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm ---> All activities are open
5:00 pm - 5:10 pm ---> All activities will be closed and we will begin our Gospel presentation
5:10 pm - 5:20 pm ---> We will give ample time for all of the kiddos to get to their hunt areas
5:20 pm - 5:30 pm ---> LET THE HUNT BEGIN!
